AJIT ASERAPPA Is a metalsmith and woodworker. Originally from Sri Lanka, Ajit currently lives in the Oregon wine country near Portland Oregon.

Ajit’s work is sculptural — small to medium scale — and highlights properties of the materials used. He is currently working on 3 projects: a series of masks that explore archetypes of colonization; mixed material adornment/jewelry using base metals and wood that investigate intrinsic vs. aesthetic value; and small objects that are a “conversations” between himself and the materials used.
